why is Nigeria such a great country

Nigeria (/naɪˈdʒɪəriə/ ny-JEER-ee-ə),^[a]officially the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is a country in West Africa. It is situated between the Sahel to the north and the Gulf of Guinea to the south in the Atlantic Ocean. It covers an area of 923,769 square kilometres (356,669 sq mi), and with a populationof over 230 million who literally are tired of it.

When people hear Nigeria, what do you think comes to mind e.g corruption, scamming, rural areas etc some may say that's wrong, some  say Nigeria has some redeeming qualities, that it has a low level of corruption good road etc but let me tell you all of that is a lie to cover up it's true qualities.

Here are reasons why I think Nigeria I one of the most f**ked up countries;

1/4 power supply (electricity)

     

     Sometimes I wonder why other countries like Togo or Benin republic have such constant power supply where they literally leave the light all day with no one day off one day on system while in Nigeria sometimes there is light for like 10hours in one day and the next 3 days there is somehow no light, there was even a time there wasn't light for one entire week.

    It is as if NEPA is just playing with us, how come they just brought the light and after five minutes they take it then they repeat it for the entire day, even when you will be expecting light to be in the night when I really need it, they won't bring it do you know frustrating it is time sleep with heat almost every night, this Nigeria will kill us.

2/4 Bribery and Corruption

The corrupion level in Nigeria is extremely high compared to other nations around the world like the us to even Ghana, Nigeria corrupion is all around us from the common street to the government, take the current election that occurred a few months ago, we all knew what really happened in that election from the snatching of ballot boxes to the bribery of electoral officials.

     The country really has no limits to it's level corrupion even on the roads, when I was coming home I saw a police stop a man with no license plates but suddenly he let the man go free after he took something from the man, if he was in another country that police would have been sacked immediately.

3/4 Unemployment rate

Nigeria the giant of Africa am most of it's youths can't even make a living for themselves, sometimes I don't blame the youths for doing what they do to make a living, I blame the country, there aren't any opportunities in Nigeria like there are in other countries like the US, that's why some youths go and do some illegal things so they can survive in a harsh country like Nigeria.

     If I ever get the opportunity to run away from this country I will take it and not look back because in abroad you can make it if you put in the hard work but in Nigeria before you can make you have to be a politician or start a large business but that will also cause brain drain in the economy.

4/4 Economy

    This country will always surprise you, the areas that really need the government attention are forgotten while the areas that have already been developed are getting even more developed so the rich can stay more comfortably while the poor will have to wait for the government to even glance at their areas.

    The urban areas are developed while the rural areas are still awaiting their development only to be forgotten by the same government that promised them their development, why can't Nigeria (said to be the giant of Africa) with all the money they get change it's economy and create stability in both rural and urban areas.

So in conclusion, if you ever get the opportunity to go abroad, better take that opportunity and leave as fast as possible.
